Delhi Police Reasoning and Maths: repair the method before timing it

A series, a direction question and a percentage problem do not fail for the same reason. Before looking at options, name the family and write the first action: create a direction sketch, find the percentage base, build a small table, or identify the series rule. This makes the method visible before time pressure hides the error.

If you cannot name the first action, you have found a concept gap. If you can name it but make the setup wrong, you have found an application gap. These need different repairs.

First pass: solve five fresh questions untimed and write the first step. Second pass: solve a similar short set with a reasonable cap. Third pass: mix the question family with other topics so you must recognise it yourself. Skipping straight to timing encourages guessing and makes a weak route feel like a speed problem.

Keep one line for every repeat error: ‘I used the final value as the percentage base’ or ‘I reversed left and right after turning.’ A precise error note is a repair instruction.

Not every question belongs in your first pass. If your method is still long after a few seconds, mark it and protect time for questions with a clear entry route. Come back only after the rest of the set. Efficient attempts are built through choices, not panic.
