Delhi Police Constable study guide
Delhi Police GK and current affairs: study without drowning in updates
A bounded General Knowledge and current-affairs method for Delhi Police Constable aspirants: choose a source, make recall prompts, and test what stays.
This preparation guide is written by ExamGrind's editorial desk. Official notices and source records are linked below whenever an exam rule, date or requirement needs verification.
A current-affairs feed is not a study plan
The easiest way to lose hours is to read every headline and call it preparation. Build a bounded desk instead: a small set of daily briefs, a weekly recap, and a place to turn recurring themes into questions. Your aim is recall under pressure, not familiarity with a scrolling feed.
Static General Knowledge belongs in themed clusters: polity, history, geography, science and basic India awareness. A small cluster becomes useful only when you can answer a question without seeing the note first.
Use the context → fact → recall method
For each useful update, write one line of context, one exam-worthy fact and one question you could ask yourself later. For example, do not store only a scheme name; store what problem it addresses, which ministry or institution is involved, and the one distinction that makes it memorable.
At the end of a week, test mixed prompts from older and newer notes. If a fact does not return, shorten the card or connect it to a place, institution, date or contrast. Rereading a long PDF is not the same as revising.
Do not mistake volume for coverage
One clean revision set that you can recall is more valuable than five unfinished current-affairs PDFs. Keep a list of gaps that appear in practice, then add only the material that closes those gaps. When a new SSC or Delhi Police notice is relevant, use the official source—not a forwarded screenshot—to check it.
Official source desk
Check the source before you plan around it.
ExamGrind turns official information into a practical plan, but the issuing body remains the source of truth for current rules, dates, eligibility and subject requirements. Check the linked record before acting on a notification or application decision.
