Finish a session with five mixed prompts. Include old concepts beside new ones so your brain must choose between similar terms. The moment two definitions blur together is the moment to build a contrast card.

Repair the exact confusion, not the whole chapter
If you repeatedly confuse input and output devices, repair that pair with examples. If you cannot tell a spreadsheet feature from a word-processing feature, repair that contrast. Restarting an entire ‘computer’ chapter for one close distinction wastes time and hides the real issue.
