SSC CGL study guide
How to handle SSC CGL current affairs without letting it consume your day
A bounded current-affairs routine that protects Quant, Reasoning and English while keeping recall alive.
This preparation guide is written by ExamGrind's editorial desk. Official notices and source records are linked below whenever an exam rule, date or requirement needs verification.
Current affairs needs a boundary
The problem is rarely that students do too little current affairs. It is that an open-ended news feed takes the time meant for practice and revision. Set a fixed source, a fixed window, and a fixed recall method before you begin.
Capture only what you can retrieve
Turn useful facts into small prompts: event → month, organisation → role, scheme → ministry, award → recipient. Review them in short spaced batches. A huge list read once does not become exam recall.
Keep checking official notices separately
Current affairs preparation and an exam notice are different jobs. Use the official SSC notice board for dates and documents; do not rely on a social post or an old coaching update for a deadline.
